On the 17th of May 2023, the NATO Security Force Assistance Centre of Excellence (NATO SFA COE) and the MULTINATIONAL CIMIC GROUP HEADQUARTERS (MNCG) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to enhance their collaboration in the area of education, training, exercise and doctrine.
The MNCG is a multinational entity, responsible for the analysis of civilian environment, ready to deploy on order of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, to an area of operations designated by SACEUR, for sustainment and rotation, for prolonged operations and to undertake combined, joint military operations across the operational spectrum.
The purpose of the agreement is to improve their respective capacity, as well as to develop a consistent stability hub at the international level, combining their capabilities in operating in the common field of Security Force Assistance in order to provide an added value to NATO and its Partners.
The cooperation consists of joint activities as well as cross support, such as mutual participation of selected researchers and subject matter experts in virtual or residential exercises, collective training, workshops, and seminars inter alia for the development of their respective doctrinal bodies.
This agreement is a further step for the NATO SFA COE to increase its capacity and consolidate its position as a focal point in the field of education, training, exercise and doctrine within SFA.
Moreover, it allows the NATO SFA COE to consolidate its knowledge through the exchange of information and experiences with other important actors that play an important role in the international arena.
